Ibarra Berrocal <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han desarrollado y validado dos m\u00e9todos para control ambiental y otros dos para control biol\u00f3gico de la exposici\u00f3n laboral a estireno, que es un compuesto qu\u00edmico utilizado en la fabricaci\u00f3n de productos de poli\u00e9ster reforzado con fibra de vidrio. Los dos procedimientos de captaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de muestras ambientales se basan en el empleo de dispositivos pasivos rellenos de adsorbente de dise\u00f1o diferente, uno para desorci\u00f3n con disolvente y el otro para desorci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, en ambos el an\u00e1lisis se realiza por cromatograf\u00eda de gases. Los dos procedimientos de control biol\u00f3gico se basan en la determinaci\u00f3n de estireno en aire exhalado final y de estireno en orina respectivamente, en ambos, el estireno se recoge en tubos rellenos de tenax ta para desorci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica y se analiza por cromatograf\u00eda de gases.  se comprob\u00f3 el buen funcionamiento de los m\u00e9todos desarrollados para el control ambiental tomando muestras en situaciones reales de exposici\u00f3n a estireno. Los resultados se han comparado con los obtenidos con un sistema tradicional, basado en el empleo de bombas de aspiraci\u00f3n y tubos rellenos de carb\u00f3n activo, y se ha encontrado que no hay diferencias significativas entre ellos.  se ha evaluado toxicol\u00f3gicamente una poblaci\u00f3n laboral expuesta a estireno utilizando los m\u00e9todos desarrollados en este trabajo, para ello se tomaron muestras del aire ambiental durante todo el periodo de exposici\u00f3n y muestras de orina y aire exhalado al finalizar la misma.
