El g\u00e9nero cuenta con distintos determinantes patog\u00e9nicos que interact\u00faan a diferente nivel para producir la enfermedad, siendo uno de estos el flagelo.  en este trabajo describimos cinco genes de a.Caviae sch3n, implicados en el proceso de adhesi\u00f3n a c\u00e9lulas eucariotas hep-2 a trav\u00e9s del esamblaje del fagelo, as\u00ed como de la bios\u00edntesis del ant\u00edgeno o de lipopolisac\u00e1rido, y estudiamos su distribuci\u00f3n en el g\u00e9nero.  paralelamente constatamos la existencia de dos sistemas independientes de flagelaci\u00f3n en aeromonas, polar y lateral respectivamente. As\u00ed mismo caracterizamos gen\u00e9tica y fenot\u00edpicamente los loci de las flagelinas laterales de a.Hydrophila ah-3 (una flagelina) y a.Caviae sch3n (dos flagelinas), as\u00ed como los genes acompa\u00f1antes que constituyen el locus laf de la primera cepa mencionada. Estudiamos el papel del flagelo lateral en los procesos de adhesi\u00f3n celular y formaci\u00f3n de biofilm in vitro, vi\u00e9ndose ambos potenciados por la expresi\u00f3n de la flagelaci\u00f3n peritrica, al igual que la invasi\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas hep-2.  dise\u00f1amos un m\u00e9todo mediante pcr para la detecci\u00f3n de la flagelinas laterales en el g\u00e9nero, que nos permite establecer que el 60% de la poblaci\u00f3n de aeromonas mes\u00f3filas expresan la prote\u00edna.  por \u00faltimo, detectamos el locus laf completo en la especie inm\u00f3vil y psicr\u00f3fila aeromonas salmonicida, que no produce flagelaci\u00f3n lateral por la inserci\u00f3n de una putativa transposasa en su \u00fanico gen que codifica para la flagelina lateral, siendo un caso bien documentado gen\u00e9ticamente de la abolici\u00f3n de un car\u00e1cter patog\u00e9nico altamente especializado.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
