Se ha demostrado que nf-kb ejerce un efecto citoprotector frente a la muerte celular inducida por diversos agentes. El \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico (no) producido por la oxidaci\u00f3n n\u00edrico sintasa inducible (inos), gen regulado, principalmente por nk-kb, es capaz de reduir o incrementar la citotoxicidad celular dependiendo de las condiciones experimentales. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue el estudio del papel de la activaci\u00f3n de nf-kb en la protecci\u00f3n por pge1 frente a la muerte celular inducida pro d-galnen el cultivo primario de hepatocitos de rata. asimismo, se estudi\u00f3 la asociaci\u00f3n existente entre la activaci\u00f3n de nf-kb y la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de inos en nuestras condiciones experimentales.  materiales y m\u00e9todos  los hepatocitos de rata se aislaron por el m\u00e9todo cl\u00e1sico de perfusi\u00f3n hep\u00e1tica con colagenasa. El papel de nf-kb se estudi\u00f3 mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de un inhibidor de su activaci\u00f3n como es el inhibidor del proteosoma de tipo 1 (psl) administrando antes que la pge1- y\/o d-galn en los hepatocitos en cultivo. La apoptosis se evalu\u00f3 mediante la fragmentaci\u00f3n del dna y la actividad caspasa-3 en hepatocios, y la necrosis por la liberaci\u00f3n de lactato deshidrogenasa (ldh) al medio de cultivo. La activaci\u00f3n de nf-kb se determin\u00f3 por la degradaci\u00f3n de ikbalfa y la translocaci\u00f3n de nk-kb al n\u00facleo. Se evalu\u00f3 la expresi\u00f3n de la inos en hepatocitos, as\u00ed como la concentraci\u00f3n de los productos finales del \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico (no), nitrito+nitrato (nox), en el medio de cultivo.  resultados  d-galn increment\u00f3 la actividad caspasa-3, la fragmentaci\u00f3n del dna y la liberaci\u00f3n de ldh. Pge1 estimul\u00f3 la degradaci\u00f3n de ikbalfa y la activaci\u00f3n de nf-kb, con reducci\u00f3n de todos los par\u00e1metros asociados a la inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis por d-gain.
