Adem\u00e1s representan entre el 1-2% de todos los c\u00e1nceres humanos. Estas enfermedades proliferativas crecen muy lentamente en comparaci\u00f3n con otras neoplasias humanas, presentan bajos grados de transformaci\u00f3n en enfermedades malignas y muy bajo nivel de apoptosis, sin embargo presentan alta incidencia de met\u00e1stasis, en comparaci\u00f3n con los bajos \u00edndices proliferativos. El tgf-beta es un factor de crecimiento que est\u00e1 implicado en proliferaci\u00f3n, apoptosis, diferenciaci\u00f3n o desarrollo, dependiendo del tipo celular. Se produce a nivel de la gl\u00e1ndula tiroides y regula el crecimiento de los tirocitos. la hip\u00f3tesis actualmente aceptada acerca del mecanismo por el cual se producen las enfermedades cancer\u00edgenas es por perdida a la respuesta antiproliferactiva al tgf-beta.  hasta ahora los modelos mayoritariamente empleados, en el estudio, en la gl\u00e1ndula tiroides humana, de los mecanismos alterados en las c\u00e9lulas cancer\u00edgenas, se basan en estudios realizados en animales, l\u00edneas celulares transformadas o bien son estudios descriptivos en muestras humanas.  en este trabajo se han puesto a punto los cultivos primarios de c\u00e9lulas foliculares de tiroides humano a partir de muestras quir\u00fargicas. As\u00ed se han conseguido cultivar 1 tiroides normal (nt) 1 enfermedad de graves (gd) 9 bocios multinodulares (mng) 2 adenomas foluclares (af), 2 carcinomas papilares (cp) y 1 met\u00e1stasis. En todos ellos se han estudiado dos marcadores de tirocitos: expresi\u00f3n de tiroglobulina y el sinprotador nis observ\u00e1ndose un alto porcentaje de tirocitos en todos los cultivos.  tras comprobar que la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n del tgf-beta en todos los cultivos se encontraba intacta se estudian los efectos inducidos por el tgf-beta y los resultados indican que:  en
