Jose Recio Hoyas <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las mol\u00e9culas de clase ii cl\u00e1sicas del complejo principal de histocompatibilidad humano (-dr, -dq y -dp), son glicoprote\u00ednas muy polim\u00f3rficas que juegan un papel esencial en el sistema inmunitario, uniendo y presentando p\u00e9ptidos antig\u00e9nicos a los linfocitos tcd4 cooperadores. Para llevar a cabo esta funci\u00f3n necesitan la ayuda de otra mol\u00e9cula de clase ii no cl\u00e1sica, dm, que act\u00faa como una chaperona molecular interaccionando con \u00e9stas en los compartimentos de clase ii (miic) y promoviendo el intercambio de los p\u00e9ptidos de baja estabilidad por otros de estabilidad mayor. Aunque dm presenta una estructura similiar a las mol\u00e9culas de clase ii cl\u00e1sicas, un heterod\u00edmero constituido por una cadena alfa y una beta, la obtenci\u00f3n del cristal revela una mol\u00e9cula sin la hendidura de uni\u00f3n pept\u00eddica caracter\u00edsticas de \u00e9stas, en su lugar aparece una cavidad central m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a que probablemente una alg\u00fan tipo de p\u00e9ptidos, pero de un modo distinto a como lo har\u00edan las mol\u00e9culas mhc de clase i y ii.  en este trabajo se analiza de forma exhaustiva el polimorfismo del gen mhc-dmb en primates no humanos, mediante t\u00e9cnicas de pcr y secuenciaci\u00f3n. se describen 29 nuevos alelos en los primates pertenecientes a las familias pongidae, hylobatidae, cercopithecidae y callitricidae.  es importante destacar la posible duplicaci\u00f3n de este gen en mono rhesus y la presencia de transcritos sin ex\u00f3n 5 encontrados en la totalidad de los alelos de todos los individuos de macacos estudiados. A diferencia de lo que ocurre en otros genes de clase ii estudiados, este polimorfismo es limitado y adem\u00e1s tiende a acumularse fuera de las regiones hipervariables descritas para las mol\u00e9culas de clase ii cl\u00e1sicas. Con el objetivo de ver como ha sido la evoluci\u00f3n de este gen en primates no humanos y compararlo con otros genes mhc de clase ii cl\u00e1sicos se han realizado una serie de estudios evolutivos muy interesantes.
