En concreto, este trabajo realiza un estudio comparativo entre los dos subtipos de melanotropas con caracter\u00edsticas funcionales distintas, definidas como melanotropas secretoras y melanotropas almacenadoras, enfocado a determinar los mecanismos moleculares que controlan el estado secretor de este tipo celular. Para llevar a cabo estos estudios, se han utilizado t\u00e9cnicas novedosas, como son el differential display, rt-pcr semicuantitativa y microscop\u00eda confocal. Adem\u00e1s, se han conseguido las secuencias de adnc completas de varios de los genes de inter\u00e9s. En particular, se analizan diferentes prote\u00ednas con un papel clave en el proceso secretor, como son las graninas (secretogranina ii, cromogranina a y 7b2) y las convertasas (pc1 y pc2). Tambi\u00e9n se ha investigado la existencia de nuevos genes implicados en este proceso y que, por lo tanto, pueden estar implicados en el mantenimiento del fenotipo secretor de las
