Se han usado tanto moleculas \u00absentido\u00bb como \u00abantisentido\u00bb correspondientes a diferentes regiones del genoma virico. Con ello quisimos contribuir a un mejor conocimiento de estos mecanismos, aportado informacion que sirva como paso previo al desarrollo de sistemas de resistencia basados en las caracteristicas moleculares del agente virico. Hemos obtenido que odns complementarios a los 2augs iniciadores de la traduccion producen una inhibicion especifica de la traduccion in vitro de vfa y solo el complementario al 2 aug tiene este efecto en celulas buk-21 infectadas.
