La principal aportaci\u00f3n de este trabajo radica en la utilizaci\u00f3n de una \u00fanica herramienta de simulaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica para el estudio global del comportamiento de los dispositivos, lo que constituye una aproximaci\u00f3n altamente novedosa al problema con respecto a los estudios usualmente encontrados en la literatura.  el escalado de los dispositivos mosfet convencionales por debajo del cuarto de micra ha sido analizado en profundidad, encontr\u00e1ndose discrepancias con respecto a las predicciones del escalado ideal en algunas de las principales figuras de m\u00e9rito. Asimismo, se ha evaluado el efecto de variar de manera aislada algunos par\u00e1metros dado su inter\u00e9s desde el punto de vista tecnol\u00f3gico, tales como la longitud de puerta o la impurificaci\u00f3n del substrato.  las caracter\u00edsticas del simulador han permitido efectuar un an\u00e1lisis comparativo global entre estructuras mosfet convencionales y soi con topolog\u00edas totalmente equivalentes, lo que consituye una importante novedad dentro del estudio de este tipo de estructuras a nivel internacional.  finalmente, se ha procedido al estudio de estructuras soi fabricadas en laboratorio, obteni\u00e9ndose un acuerdo altamente satisfactorio entre los resultados de la simulaci\u00f3n y las medidas experimentales para los principales par\u00e1metros est\u00e1ticos, din\u00e1micos y de ruido a alta frecuencia. El comportamiento de estos par\u00e1metros ha sido interpretado en relaci\u00f3n con las principales magnitudes internas del transporte en los dispositivos.
