La caracterizaci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 sobre la teselaci\u00f3n de voronoi de la microestructura a analizar y se extrajeron algunas propiedades geom\u00e9tricas b\u00e1sicas, otras caracter\u00edsticas basadas en la transformaci\u00f3n de fourier, y ciertos momentos invariantes. Se probaron diversos m\u00e9todos de selecci\u00f3n y combinaci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas como el an\u00e1lisis de componentes principales discriminante de fisher.  adicionalmente, se calcul\u00f3 con el m\u00e9todo de los elementos finitos la conductividad t\u00e9rmica efectiva de cada microestructura de la base de datos. Para llegar a determinar un nuevo modelo de estimaci\u00f3n los m\u00e9todos de caracterizaci\u00f3n fueron combinados en un procedimiento de remuestreo aleatorio con diversos modelos de regresi\u00f3n m\u00faltiple cl\u00e1sica y con redes neuronales multicapa basadas en backpropagation. De esta forma los resultados de la estimaci\u00f3n pudieron ser comparados desde un punto de vista estad\u00edstico, y validados para conjuntos de muestras de test diferentes a la de dise\u00f1o, comprob\u00e1ndose adem\u00e1s que los resultados mejoraban si se realizaba un procedimiento de clasificaci\u00f3n previo. Se prob\u00f3 que los mejores modelos, basados en redes neuronales, proporcionaban una estimaci\u00f3n de la conductividad pr\u00e1cticamente id\u00e9ntica a la obtenida con el m\u00e9todo de
