Se han estudiado en este modelo el tiempo de mezcla, las lineas de corriente y los regimenes de flujo, se han caracterizado las burbujas y gotas. Se ha estudiado la transferencia de materia, la transmision de calor y la retencion de gas en el liquido. Para ello se han utilizado diferentes metodos de estimulo-respuesta, video de alta velocidad, fotografias con analisis de imagenes y metodos dinamicos para determinar la evolucion de concentraciones y temperaturas para los cambios introducidos en el sistema. Se han tenido en cuenta las posibilidades de soplado superior, inferior y combinado, las propiedades fisicas, el volumen de carga del reactor, la altura de la lanza y la geometria local
