En este trabajo de tesis es estudi\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n de dos prote\u00ednas (protimosina alfa, pta y gliceraldeh\u00eddo 3 fosfato deshidrogenasa, gapdh) en los procesos de proliferaci\u00f3n y apoptosis hep\u00e1tica. El mayor conocimiento acerca de la participaci\u00f3n de estas prote\u00ednas en estos proceso, permitir\u00e1n desde la investigaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica aportar en el entendimiento de las patolog\u00edas del h\u00edgado y contribuir a la prevenci\u00f3n, el diagn\u00f3stico o tratamiento de las mismas.  para esto, y en primer lugar, se establecieron los sistemas de hepatocios primarios y de l\u00ednea celular en cultivo, se indujeron a proliferar con hgf, se determinaron las condiciones \u00f3ptimas de esta inducci\u00f3n, y se pusieron a punto m\u00e9todos de determinaci\u00f3n de la proliferaci\u00f3n celular.  por otro lado, se indujo la apoptosis de los hepatocios con dos agentes (tgf-beta1 y cicloheximida), se determinaron las condiciones \u00f3ptimas de esta inducci\u00f3n, y se pusieron a punto las metodolog\u00edas de determinaci\u00f3n de apoptosis. Se estudiaron los niveles de rna menajero de la pta (por northern blot) en la quiescencia, la apoptosis y la proliferaci\u00f3n celular, determin\u00e1ndose que existe un aumento de la expresi\u00f3n de esta prote\u00edna en la proliferaci\u00f3n y una disminuci\u00f3n en la apoptosis.  para la gapdh se estudi\u00f3 su expresi\u00f3n a nivel de prote\u00edna en extractos proteicos nucleares y citoplasm\u00e1ticos, mediante la t\u00e9cnica de western blot. la expresi\u00f3n del gapdh result\u00f3 aumentada en los n\u00facleos apopt\u00f3ticos y en los citoplasmas proliferantes y apopt\u00f3ticos.  para estudiar la localizaci\u00f3n de estas prote\u00ednas en los distintos estados celulares (quiescencia, proliferaci\u00f3n y apoptosis) se realiz\u00f3 una inmunocitoqu\u00edmica que se observ\u00f3 al microscopio confocal.
