Dentro del grupo 1 se definen: epitermales de cu-co-ni-(au-u), epitermales de pb-zn, epitermales de f, epitermales polimetalicos. En el grupo 2 se definen: skarus de cu-as-au-bi, mesoepitermales de as-sb-au, epitermales de hg. Las mineralizaciones de cu-co-ni se pueden considerar el modelo de mineralizacion caracteristico de la zona cantabrica. En ellos, la interaccion en condiciones epitermales de p y t, entre fluidos ligeramente acidos y rocas carbonatadas produce la precipitacion de una secuencia de sulfuros y seleniuros de cu-co-ni, hematites, uraninita y oro nativo, entre otros minerales, en matriz de dolomita y cuarzo. Los metales procederian de las secuencias preorogeneas mientras el azufre, probablemente evaporitico, procede de la roca encajante o de las secuencias uranogeneas.
