A lo largo de la fundamentaci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica se presenta una aproximaci\u00f3n al deporte escolar en sus diferentes rasgos, caracter\u00edsticas, manifestaciones y agentes que intervienen. Se analizan diferentes concepciones del t\u00e9rmino deporte, as\u00ed como sus diversas manifestaciones, y en particular la denominada deporte escolar (objetivo \u00aba\u00bb de la investigaci\u00f3n) y se exponen los criterios que aconsejan a la utilizaci\u00f3n del t\u00e9rmino deporte escolar. Con la finalidad de contextualizar el modelo de deporte escolar objeto de este estudio (objetivo \u00abb\u00bb), se destinan dos apartados a mostrar una s\u00edntesis hist\u00f3rica de la evoluci\u00f3n del deporte escolar. Se dedica tambi\u00e9n un apartado al contraste del dec\u00e1logo o c\u00f3digos de comportamiento de los difernetes estamentos del deporte escolar en la isla de tenerfie con los propuestos por otros autores y se analiza el car\u00e1cter educativo del deporte escolar (objetivo \u00abc\u00bb) contrastando diferentes propuestas de modelos de deporte escolar educativo. Finalmente, se exponen algunos aspectos generales acerta del entrenador del deporte escolar (objetivo \u00abd\u00bb), aportando una clasificaci\u00f3n que sustenta el estudio de observaci\u00f3n directa que se desarrolla en la parte pr\u00e1ctica de esta tesis.  en los cap\u00edtulos siguientes se abordan los tres estudios descriptivos que fundamentan la investigaic\u00f3n. El primero (cap\u00edtulo vi), tiene por objeto acotar el perfil del entrenador del deporte escolar. En el segundo (cap\u00edtulo vii), se analiza el proceso de selecci\u00f3n, control y seguimiento de lo entrenadores. el tercero y \u00faltimo estudio, incluido dentro del cap\u00edtulo viii, tamib\u00e9n tiene como objetivo estudiar el perfil del entrenador de deporte escolar, pero aportando informaci\u00f3n obtenida a trav\u00e9s de situaciones reales de juego, principalmente en
