Una alternativa para cubrir las necesidades de isobutano ser\u00eda la isomerizaci\u00f3n de n-butano. Por ello se ha planteado una investigaci\u00f3n encaminada a la hidroisomerizaci\u00f3n de n-butano empleando catalizadores bifuncionales basados en zeolitas zsm-5, mordenita y beta, con diferentes relaciones si\/al y aglomerados con arcillas.  en primer lugar, para el caso de la zeolita zsm-5, los catalizadores sin aglomerante presentaron una menor actividad de isomerizaci\u00f3n que las correspondientes muestras aglomeradas. La conversi\u00f3n y selectividad a productos est\u00e1 fuertemente influida por el aglomerante debido a cambios en la actividad de transferencia de h+ de la zeolita, al balance de centros met\u00e1licos\/\u00e1cidos y a la difusi\u00f3n de productos.  para la zeolita mordenita, las muestras algomeradas tambi\u00e9n presentaron mejor actividad que sus correspondientes catalizadores sin arcilla. Al comparar la zeolita mordenita con la zsm-5, las primeras tuverion menor actividad catal\u00edtica debido a la mayor fortaleza de sus centros \u00e1cidos y a que el camino difusional es claramente m\u00e1s largo como  consecuencia de su geometr\u00eda de poros.  para esta zeolita beta, la neutralizaci\u00f3n de centros \u00e1cidos por parte de la bentonita, es mucho menor al ser inferior su fortaleza. Al tener la zeolita beta una estructura tridimensional de poro grande, la aglomeraci\u00f3n tampoco afecta al camino difusional de los productos y reacciones. En consecuencia, la presencia de algomerante no mejora la selectividad a isobutano con respecto a las muestras sin arcilla.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
