El modelo presentado en este trabajo, tiene como finalidad ser un modelo v\u00e1lido para aquellas aplicaciones que precisen simular el comportamiento real desde el punto de vista f\u00edsico. Por ello, el principal problema a resolver ser\u00e1 encontrar un modelo fiable (aceptable en cuanto a resultados y tiempo de c\u00e1lculo), que sea capaz de reflejar en un objeto efectos de deformaci\u00f3n que se sustenten en las leyes de la mec\u00e1nica cl\u00e1sica y en las bases de la teor\u00eda de la elasticidad.  el objetivo final es aplicar el modelo en t\u00e9cnicas de visualizaci\u00f3n, animaci\u00f3n y gr\u00e1ficos por ordenador. La simulaci\u00f3n obtenida por el ordenador y la deformaci\u00f3n real deben ser lo m\u00e1s parecidas posibles y la soluci\u00f3n debe ser alcanzada en tiempo real o, en su defecto, en un coste de tiempo aceptable seg\u00fan el uso de la aplicaci\u00f3n (animaci\u00f3n, realidad virtual, etc.).  la plataforma software de las aplicaciones est\u00e1 encuadrada dentro de la categor\u00eda de open source. Adem\u00e1s \u00e9sta utiliza librer\u00edas de visualizaci\u00f3n de alto rendimiento (basadas en opengl) y posee un enfoque computacional distribuido, lo que provee a la aplicaci\u00f3n resultante de una serie de ventajas adicionales:  1,- el sistema presenta un alta portabilidad.  2,- un alto nivel de eficiencia computacional (lineal).  3,- el modelo es totalmente paralelizable.  4,- gran
