El estudio funcional se ha realizado mediante producci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno e inducci\u00f3n de fluorescencia de membranas enriquecidas en psii en presencia o ausencia de psbo.  los resultados indican que esta prote\u00edna es clave para el correcto funcionamiento del psii y que su ausencia favorece la inhibici\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n del psii. el estudio estructural se ha llevado a cabo mediante t\u00e9cnicas bioinform\u00e1ticas elaborando alineamientos m\u00faltiples de secuencia, predicciones de estructura secundaria y modelado remoto. Mediante \u00abthreading\u00bb se ha construido un modelo 3d de la prote\u00edna basado en estructuras 3d conocidas de prote\u00ednas cristalizadas. El modelo predice que la prote\u00edna es de tipo s\u00e1ndwich-beta de tipo inmunoglobulina y que posee dos dominios. Adem\u00e1s, los datos obtenidos mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas como la fluorescencia de prote\u00ednas y ftir apoyan este modelo. Con estas t\u00e9cnicas se ha cuantificado el porcentaje de estructura secundaria con un resultado mayoritario de hoja-beta (35-40%). adem\u00e1s, mediante ftir se han podido observar cambios
