La teor\u00eda de bifurcaciones se usa de forma extensiva con el objeto de describir diversos fen\u00f3menos que ocurren en esta clase de sistemas. Tres temas principales se tratan en este trabajo:  * la transici\u00f3n a sincronizaci\u00f3n de fase y de retardo entre dos osciladores acoplados ca\u00f3ticos con fase coherente. Las tansiciones entre diferentes estados se explican en t\u00e9rminos de las \u00f3rbitas peri\u00f3dicas inestables inmersas en el atractor ca\u00f3tico conjunto.  * una transici\u00f3n directa al caos de alta dimensi\u00f3n en un sistema compuesto de tres osciladores de lorenz acoplados unidireccionalmente. Se identifican las bifurcaciones globales que dan lugar a al formaci\u00f3n del conjunto ca\u00f3tico y su transformaci\u00f3n en un atractor ca\u00f3tico.  * la aparici\u00f3n de ondas viajeras en sistemas reacci\u00f3n-difusi\u00f3n discretos con din\u00e1mica local biestable y sim\u00e9trica. Se presta especial atenci\u00f3n a los movimientos ca\u00f3ticos y al l\u00edmite continuo, que son analizados en el contexto del la teor\u00eda de bifurcaciones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
