Nos basamos en la hip\u00f3tesis de que la costra superficial del suelo es el principal factor que influyen en la distribuci\u00f3n de los individuos en estas comunidades. se verific\u00f3 la importancia de la costra en la emergencia y supervivencia de las pl\u00e1ntulas de dos especies gips\u00f3fitas (helianthemum squamatum lepdium subulatum) y una gips\u00edcola (teucrium polium subsp.Capitatum).  se analiz\u00f3 el comportamiento de emergencia, desarrollo y supervivencia de h.Squanatum en invernadero sobre tres tipos de substrato (yeso, caliza, substrato comercial). Se estudi\u00f3 el banco de semillas en 80 muestras de laderas yesosas, tanto de suelo desnudo como de parches de vegetaci\u00f3n. para analizar el papel de la facilitaci\u00f3n de los gips\u00f3fitos en el establecimiento de otras especies de la comunidad se estudi\u00f3 la composici\u00f3n flor\u00edstica, tama\u00f1o y diversidad de 250 parches de vegetaci\u00f3n as\u00ed como la distribuci\u00f3n espacial y patrones de agrupamiento o repulsi\u00f3n de todos los individuos de las especies vivaces en una parcela de 7 x 6 m. En la misma parcela se estudiaron los patrones espaciales de la emergencia y supervivencia de pl\u00e1ntulas de h.Squantum contrastando \u00e9stos con los patrones espaciales de los individuos adultos de todas las especies.
