Para progresar en el conocimiento de la artrosis se inici\u00f3 el trabajo que presentamos, como modelo experimental que pemitiera estudiar tratamientos en un modelo animal para las fases iniciales de esta enfermedad.  material y m\u00e9todo  para realizar el estudio se utilizaron 15 ovejas adultas de 3 a\u00f1os de edad. en condiciones de asepsia, el grupo de animales es sometido a una intervenci\u00f3n en la rodilla izquierda para crear una lesi\u00f3n condral con una lima en los dos c\u00f3ndilos femorales y r\u00f3tula sin lesionar todo el grosor del cart\u00edlago. en ning\u00fan caso se pretende llegar al hueso subcondral. La rodilla derecha, que no se toca, servir\u00e1 de control. Se divide a los animales en 3 subgrupos para ser sacrificados a las 28, 48 y 104 semanas. Se preparan muestras histol\u00f3gicas osteocartilaginosas para el estudio histol\u00f3gico. El estudio de las muestras ha incluido una parte histol\u00f3gica cualitativa y cuantitativa, un estudio bioqu\u00edmico y el estudio de la l\u00ednea osteocondral.  resultados  en el cart\u00edlago lesionado se produce una necrosis celular con un aumento del metabolismo de las c\u00e9lulas restantes que se traduce en un aumento en la actividad replicativa dando lugar a los clusters, que en conjunto determinan un aumento de la celularidad total en las capas superficiales. Se observan cambios histol\u00f3gicos y bioqu\u00edmicos t\u00edpicos de la artrosis como son la disminuci\u00f3n de glucosamina (que indica una disminuci\u00f3n del queratan sulfato) y aumento de galactosamina (que indica un aumento del condroitin sulfato). El estudio de la l\u00ednea respecto a los controles. Los resultados se analizaron estad\u00edsticamente para conocer la significaci\u00f3n de las diferencias observadas entre los grupos.  conclusiones  la escarificaci\u00f3n de la superficie del
