Tambi\u00e9n algunas c\u00e9lulas gaba\u00e9rgicas muestran esta morfolog\u00eda; as\u00ed mismo se han observado en la subplaca durante el desarrollo cortical. El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido averiguar si la neurog\u00e9nesis y\/o morfog\u00e9nesis de las c\u00e9lulas invertidas coincide o no con la de las c\u00e9lulas piramidales corticales.  el estudio se realiz\u00f3 en conejos de edades embrionarias (e) entre e14 y e28 y edades postnatales (p) p0 y p22. La neurog\u00e9nesis neuronal se abord\u00f3 mediante la inyecci\u00f3n intraperitoneal de bromo-deoxi-uridina (brdu) a conejas pre\u00f1adas en distintas edades de gestaci\u00f3n.  posteriormente, las crias nacidas de las respectivas camadas recibieron inyecciones de la toxina col\u00e9rica en el cortex oocipital en p0 y p22. Ambas t\u00e9cnicas fueron reveladas inmunocitoqu\u00edmicamente en el mismo animal. El estudio de la morfog\u00e9nesis se abord\u00f3 mediante la t\u00e9cnica de golgi en animales postnatales e inyecciones corticales: de dii (in vitro) en edades embrionarias y de biocitina (in vivo) en edades postnatales.  finalmente, el estudio de la neurog\u00e9nesis de las c\u00e9lulas gaba\u00e9rgicas se realiz\u00f3 con doble marcado inmunocitoqu\u00edmico de brdu y parvoalb\u00famina. Las c\u00e9lulas invertidas corticales y de la subplaca cortical se observaron desde e14, lo que sugiere que constituyen un tipo morfol\u00f3gico distinto de las c\u00e9lulas piramidales. Las c\u00e9lulas invertidas mostraron una morfolog\u00eda bipolar o con ax\u00f3n ascendente conectadas con la zona marginal. Esta conexi\u00f3n se perdi\u00f3 entre e21 y e28, antes que lo hac\u00edan otras c\u00e9lulas corticales. El n\u00famero de c\u00e9lulas invertidas corticocorticales fue 10% mayor en las edades postnatales tempranas y apenas se observaron en la subplaca cortical.
