Comparar la morfolog\u00eda y composicion elemental de cristales de fosfato calcico sintetizados \u00abin vitro\u00bb con los presentes en los calculos dentales humanos y ademas averiguar si existen patrones morfoanaliticos diferentes entre calculos supra e subgingivales.  para ello se realizo un estudio morfoanalitico combinando la microscopia electronica de barrido con la energia dispersiva de rayos x sobre calculos dentales obtenidos a partir de pacientes con diferentes edades, sexos y localizacion dentaria y sobre concreciones de fosfato calcico obtenidas mediante precipitacion en sistemas de gel.  los resultados mostraron:  que todas las estructuras organicas poseian un claro proceso de biomineralizacion, ratificando la existencia de dos centros de calcificacion en torno a germenes que mineralizan hacia fosfatos calcicos apatiticos e independientes de germenes. En estos ultimos se vieron la mayoria de las fases cristalinas. En general las formas cuboidales y lenticulares correspondieron a whitlockita mientras que los circulares y laminares a fosfato octocalcico. El crecimiento \u00abin vitro\u00bb permitio conocer las formas de fosfato dicalcico y fosfato octocalcico. El estudio por separado de fragmentos supra y subgingivales mostro un predominio de fosfato octocalcico en los supragingivales y de whitlockita en los subgingivales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
