Dicho estudio incluye tanto la contribucion asociada al momento dipolar permanente de la molecula diatomica como la debida al momento dipolar inducido en el disolvente por la molecula diatomica. La teoria incorpora tambien efectos memoria y de interferencia, y en ella, tienen un papel fundamental las funciones de correlacion de la interaccion soluto-disolvente. Se aplica la teoria desarrollada al sistema co-ar a diferentes temperaturas y densidades obteniendose como resultado un excelente acuerdo entre los perfiles teoricos y los experimentales. La inclusion en la teoria de la contribucion dipolar inducida permite explicar el incremento de absorcion en la region de altas frecuencias que presentan los perfiles experimentales de mas alta
