Mientras que la prote\u00edna sigmac es una prote\u00edna estructural que forma parte de las part\u00edculas virales, p10 y p17 son prote\u00ednas no estructurales. Por otra parte hemos demostrado que la actividad fusog\u00e9nica asociada con el gen s1, reside exclusivamente en la prote\u00edna p10, y no en las prote\u00ednas sigmac o p17. Tambi\u00e9n hemos estudiado la modificaci\u00f3n de la permeabilidad de membrana inducida por la infecci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas en cultivo por el reovirus aviar, y hemos demostrado que la infecci\u00f3n induce la alteraci\u00f3n de la permeabilidad a tiempos tard\u00edos de infecci\u00f3n, y no a tiempos tempranos, y que este efecto es dependiente de la s\u00edntesis de determinadas prote\u00ednas virales denominadas viroporinas y de su transporte a la membrana plasm\u00e1tica a trav\u00e9s de la ruta exoc\u00edtica. comprobamos que la prote\u00edna p10 altera la permeabilidad de membrana de bacterias y de c\u00e9lulas eucariotas, por lo que p10 posee actividad viroporina. por \u00faltimo, demostramos que el dominio fusog\u00e9nico de p10 no es responsable de la capacidad desestabilizadora de la membrana, por lo que las actividades fusog\u00e9nica y viroporina radican en diferentes dominios de la prote\u00edna p10.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
