Teresa <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En el presente trabajo analizamos la histiofisiolog\u00eda de la gl\u00e1ndula pineal ovina durante el desarrollo postnatal. Efectuamos dos dise\u00f1os experimentales: uno, para ver los cambios morfol\u00f3gicos de la pineal durante la vida postnatal; y otro, para determinar la influencia de la luz en la histolog\u00eda y fisiolog\u00eda pineal.  en el primer dise\u00f1o, 24 hembras ovinas, fueron distribuidas en tres grupos experimentales de acuerdo a su edad y fisiolog\u00eda reproductiva:  grupo i (1-6 meses: prepuberales y\/o infantiles)  grupo ii (9-24 meses: f\u00e9rtil-puberales)  grupo iii (36-60 meses: adultos).  en los 8 animales de cada grupo, realizamos an\u00e1lisis estructurales, inmunohistoqu\u00edmicos (con marcadores de pinealocitos: synapthophysin -syn-, enolasa neuronal espec\u00edfica -nee- y no espec\u00edfica -nne-; de c\u00e9lulas intersticiales: ptah, los neurop\u00e9ptidos vimentin -vim- y prote\u00edna fibrilar glial \u00e1cida -gfap; y de fibras nerviosas: neurop\u00e9ptido vasointestinal -vip- y neurop\u00e9ptido y -npy-); morfom\u00e9ticos y finalmente an\u00e1lisis ultraestructurales. Los resultados alcanzados nos permiten sentenciar que las gl\u00e1ndulas pineales de los animales puberales son morfol\u00f3gicamente m\u00e1s activas que las de los prepuberales y adultos.  en el segundo dise\u00f1o, analizamos la histomorfometr\u00eda, el comportamiento inmunohistoqu\u00edmico y las caracter\u00edsticas ultraestructurales de los pinealocitos durante el desarrollo postnatal, en condiciones de fotoperiodo natural largo inhibitorio (16l:8d).
