Los tratamientos foliares no ocasionaron una reducci\u00f3n del crecimiento. Hubo aumento de la intensidad de fluorescencia en las hojas j\u00f3venes, pero no en las hojas desarrolladas posteriormente. Por otro lado, los tratamientos residuales ocasionaron una disminuci\u00f3n de crecimiento a las dosis de 4 y 6 kg m.A.Ha-1 de simazina y de 5 kg m.A.Ha-1 de diur\u00f3n. Los tratamientos residuales produjeron aumento de la intensidad de fluorescencia en hojas j\u00f3venes y viejas y tambi\u00e9n en hojas desarrolladas despu\u00e9s del tratamiento. Los ensayos de inhibici\u00f3n de la reacci\u00f3n de hill demostraron la no existencia de cambios estructurales o funcionales en la prote\u00edna d1.  los ensayos de crecimiento confirmaron el car\u00e1cter resistente de las poblaciones t de l.Rigidum y b.Tectorum a simazina y el car\u00e1cter tolerante de las poblaciones t y nt de c.Maculatum a simazina y diur\u00f3n. Los estudios de la inhibici\u00f3n de la reacci\u00f3n de la hill mostraron valores i50 en las poblaciones t de l.Rigidum y b.Tectorum de tres \u00f3rdenes de magnitud superiores a los biotipos nt, lo que indica cambios en la prote\u00edna d1 como mecanismo responsable de la resistencia. Dicha hip\u00f3tesis se confirm\u00f3 mediante ensayos de emisi\u00f3n de fluorescencia r\u00e1pida. La tolerancia de c.Maculatum fue debida a la falta de translocaci\u00f3n de los herbicidas a los fol\u00edolos como demostraron los estudios de absorci\u00f3n y translocaci\u00f3n con 14c-simazina y 14c-diur\u00f3n y la no inhibici\u00f3n de la fotos\u00edntesis cuando las plantas fueron incubadas por v\u00eda radicular en una soluci\u00f3n de simazina o diur\u00f3n.  los ensayos de crecimiento realizados en condiciones controladas con formulaciones comerciales de glifosato no mostraron diferencias de eficiencias de eficacia en el control entre las poblaciones t y nt de
