Cristina V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00edn <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El comportamiento met\u00e1stasico de las c\u00e9lulas tumorales se ve influido por la expresi\u00f3n an\u00f3mala de algunos glicoconjugados de superficie celular entre los que se encuentran los ant\u00edgenos sialilados sialil-kewis a (sle a), sialil-lewis x (sle x) y sialil-tn (stn), cuya sialilaci\u00f3n es efectuada por sialiltransferasas.  en nuestro trabajo hemos estudiado la actividad sialiltransfer\u00e1sica responsable de la s\u00edntesis de dichos ant\u00edgenos, as\u00ed como la expresi\u00f3n de los mismos con objeto de establecer la correlaci\u00f3n entre ambos en tejido sano, transicional y tumoral de colon humano.  se obtuvo un incremento de la actividad sialiltransfer\u00e1sica en el tejido tumoral con respecto al sano utilizando como secuencias aceptoras n-glicoprote\u00ednas, mientras que la actividad no se alter\u00f3 al emplear como estructuras aceptoras o-glicoprote\u00ednas. Empleando como secuencias aceptoras estructuras oligosacar\u00eddicas se detect\u00f3 un incremento de la actividad sialiltransfer\u00e1sica sobre cadenas de tipo ii asociado al tejido tumoral. Los estudios de correlaci\u00f3n llevados a cabo entre la actividad sialiltransfer\u00e1sica valorada sobre cadenas de tipo ii y estas estructuras integrantes de una n-glicoprote\u00edna diantenaria han revelado que la enzima valorda es la sta6gal i, cuya actividad se ha visto alterada en el tejido tumoral. Los par\u00e1metros cin\u00e9ticos determinados para esta enzima no explicaron las alteraciones detectadas. Por otro lado, al estudiar la ruta biosint\u00e9tica de los ant\u00edgenos sle a y sle x comprobamos que en el tejido de colon la sialilaci\u00f3n precede a la fucosilaci\u00f3n y que esta secuencia no se ve alterada a causa del proceso neopl\u00e1sico.  en el ccr se ha detectado la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de los ant\u00edgenos sle a y stn. una vez establecida la relaci\u00f3n entre dicha sobreexpresi\u00f3n y distintas caracter\u00edsticas cl\u00ednico-patol\u00f3gicas, comprobamos que el ant\u00edgeno sle a podr\u00eda constituir un factor de pron\u00f3stico independiente, seg\u00fan la clasificaic\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Alteraciones de la sialilaci\u00f3n en adenocarcinoma de colon human0<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Alteraciones de la sialilaci\u00f3n en adenocarcinoma de colon human0 <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0 M.
