Para ello, se han aislado bacterias de la rizosfera de plantas que hab\u00edan crecido tras el desastre de los vertidos t\u00f3xicos de aznalc\u00f3llar (sevilla). Dichas bacterias han sido identificadas y seleccionadas.  de todas ellas, se ha caracterizado una cepa tolerante al as de pseudomonas fluorescens, en base a diversos par\u00e1metros de crecimiento y a su cin\u00e9tica de transporte de as. Se ha contrastado, as\u00ed mismo, dicho transporte con el de otra rizobacteria sensible al as (bacillus sp.), Evidenciando que existen diferencias entre ambas cepas consistentes en los mecanismos de exclusi\u00f3n del metaloide.  la planta modelo elegida ha sido el girasol (helianthus annuusl.), Por ser una planta de gran biomasa y haber sobrevivido al accidente ecol\u00f3gico antes citado. Se han realizado diferentes ensayos utilizando cultivos hidrop\u00f3nicos (con adici\u00f3n de metales) o suelos (naturales contaminados o no, con adici\u00f3n de metales), con y sin inoculaci\u00f3n de rizobacterias tolerantes a metales.  los \u00faltimos ensayos se han centrado en el modelo propuesto; utilizando para ello el sistema formado por pseudomonas fluorescens\/helianthus annuus. las conclusiones m\u00e1s relevantes tratan de los efectos positivos que la inoculaci\u00f3n de las rizobacterias tolerantes, en general, y de ps.Fluorescens, en particular, ejercen sobre el crecimiento de la planta, y, sobre todo, sobre la acumulaci\u00f3n del as, tanto en la ra\u00edz como en la parte a\u00e9rea.  en consecuencia, el sistema propuesto podr\u00eda considerarse como una alternativa
