Mercedes <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los materiales piroclasticos salicos del sur de la isla de tenerife, potencialmente ricos en zeolitas, presentan una serie de propiedades caracteristicas que permite su aplicacion como tratamiento terciario en la depuracion de aguas residoles. Los resultados de este trabajo de investigacion han puesto de manifiesto la reduccion de los cationes, aniones, materia organica y bacterias patogenas presentes en el agua residual, asi como microcontaminantes organicos tipo compuestos fenolicos e hidrocarburos poliaromaticos. Los procesos de regeneracion por via acida y termica son viables, si bien inducen modificaciones estruturales. En la red cristalina de las zeolitas.
