La base de espectros de resoluciones alta o intermedia, de los que 94 han sido observados por el autor, y el resto tomados de la literatura. Las abundancias de litio han sido calculadas teniendo en cuenta los efectos del netl sobre la formacion de la linea espectral li i y 6708 a.  haciendo uso de estas abundancias se han estudiado los siguientes fenomenos concretos: 1) la abundancia inicial de litio en estrellas t tauri y la luminosidad a la que comienza su quema. 2) evolucion pre-secuencia principal (psp) de la destruccion de litio y su relacion con la rotacion. 3) examen de la validez de los modelos evolutivos psp a traves de la comparacion entre las predicciones y las observaciones. 4) busqueda fotometrica de candidatas a enanas marrones en cumulos abiertos jovenes y criterios espectroscopicos de pertenencia. 5) uso de la abundancia de litio como sonda del limite subestelar. 6) restricciones a las masas de las
