Forman el corpus del estudio las cincuenta novella del pecorone de ser giovanni, las doscientas veintitr\u00e9s novelle de las trecentonovelle de francos sacchetti y las ciento cincuenta y seis novelle de giovanni sercambi.  la tesis consta de once cap\u00edtulos, m\u00e1s la introducci\u00f3n y las conclusiones. se articula en tres grandes bloques: una primera parte, dedicada al estudio del marco narrativo en las tres colecciones, en las que se se\u00f1alan las tres diferentes tipolog\u00edas de marco, trazando las caracter\u00edsticas propias de los sistemas de enmarcamiento utilizados por los tres autores.  una segunda parte, en la que se estudian los mecanismos que regulan los distintos entramados y estructuras narrativas, para posteriormente pasar a la clasificaci\u00f3n de la materia tem\u00e1tica.  una tercera parte, en la que se estudian las diferentes tipolog\u00edas de personajes presentes en las tres colecciones y se demuestran que los infinitos retratos del inmenso universo humano representado en las novelle se integran en un \u00fanico dise\u00f1o, que var\u00eda seg\u00fan la personalidad y la ideolog\u00eda de cada autor, y seg\u00fan la realidad hist\u00f3rico social que le ha tocado vivir.  el aparato bibliogr\u00e1fico se compone de dos partes: una bibliograf\u00eda general ordenada alfab\u00e9ticamente, y una bibliograf\u00eda
