Act\u00faa como la componente segunda de una corriente transitoria de salida durante la fase 1 del potencial de acci\u00f3n y, a diferencia de la componente primera, no se aten\u00faa al incrementarse la frecuencia de estimulaci\u00f3n. Durante la fase de reposo es una de las componentes de una corriente transitoria de entrada que provoca la aparici\u00f3n de postdespolarizaciones tard\u00edas (dad) cuya propagaci\u00f3n da lugar a arritmias por actividad inducida. Hata el momento no se ha formulado un modelo matem\u00e1tico que describa el comportamiento de la corriente de cloro. Es objetivo de la presente tesis doctoral desarrollar dicho modelo matem\u00e1tico e introducirlo en un modelo de potencial de acci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas card\u00edacas de aur\u00edcula de conejo. Esto permitir\u00e1 esclarecer algunos de los mecanismos ionicos involucrados en la actividad el\u00e9ctrica celular en condiciones de normalidad fisiol\u00f3gica y en condiciones patol\u00f3gicas inductoras de arritmias.  para abordar el estudio de la propagaci\u00f3n se han empleado modelos unidimensionales multicelulares que reproducen la actividad de las fibras card\u00edacas. Los resultados muestran que, en condiciones normales, la corriente contribuye a mantener la duraci\u00f3n del potencial de acci\u00f3n estable ante incrementos en la frecuencia de estimulaci\u00f3n; que en condiciones en las que se favorece la aparici\u00f3n de dad su bloqueo tiene efectos antiarr\u00edtmicos al reducirse la amplitud de la dad y que, en situaciones que ayudan a la generaci\u00f3n de postdespolarizaciones tempranas (ead), el bloqueo de la corriente tiene efectos proarr\u00edtmicos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
