Uno de los par\u00e1metros m\u00e1s fiables para determinar de forma indirecta los niveles de glucemia es la determinaci\u00f3n de la hemoglobina glicada porque sus niveles indican las modificaciones de la glucosa ocurridas en los 2-3 meses previos y porque estos niveles se correlacionan con los niveles de glucemia.  se ha desarrollado un modelo matem\u00e1tico capaz de predecir el tiempo de evoluci\u00f3n de la diabetes tipos 2 a partir de los niveles de hemoglobina.  para ello se ha realizado un estudio longitudinal a lo largo 5 a\u00f1os de pacientes diab\u00e9ticos mediante la cumplimentaci\u00f3n de una ficha multiparam\u00e9trica. a partir de los datos correspondientes a la evoluci\u00f3n de la hemoglobina glicada de estos pacientes se ha elaborado un modelo matem\u00e1tico de regresi\u00f3n no lineal asociado a algoritmo de levengerg-marquard que ha permitido definir una funci\u00f3n matem\u00e1tica capaz de incluir a m\u00e1s de un 69% de los pacientes de la muestra con un error del 15%. Posteriormente se ha validado el modelo con los datos de otra poblaci\u00f3n de pacientes diab\u00e9ticos tipo 2 reclutados en condiciones id\u00e9nticas (corte transversal) en otro medio, observ\u00e1ndose en este caso que un 62% de los pacientes se ajustaban al modelo con un error del 15%.  finalmente se ha elaborado un programa inform\u00e1tico que permite determinar f\u00e1cilmente los a\u00f1os de evoluci\u00f3n de la diabetes tipo 2 a partir de los niveles de hemoglobina glicada puntuales.
