Para realizar esta tarea se han combinado modelos basados en la mec\u00e1nica del continuo como el de eshelby o el de transferencia de carga por cizalla junto con el conocimiento microestructural de los materiales.  el estudio de las tensiones residuales se realiz\u00f3 mediante difracci\u00f3n de neutrones en los institutos hmi de berl\u00edn y nfl de studsvik. El comportamiento en fluencia se determin\u00f3 mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de tres m\u00e1quinas trabajando a tensi\u00f3n constante totalmente dise\u00f1adas y fabricadas en el cenim. El estudio de la microestructura de los materiales se realiz\u00f3 principalmente utilizando t\u00e9cnicas de difracci\u00f3n de rayos-x y de microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica y electr\u00f3nica de barrido.  los principales resultados se pueden englobar en dos grupos.  por un lado, se ha determinado la correlaci\u00f3n entre las tensiones residuales y el efecto de diferente resistencia mec\u00e1nica mediante el concepto de transferencia de carga y se ha observado c\u00f3mo el efecto de la deformaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica reduce el estado de tensiones residuales, pero no el efecto de diferente resistencia mec\u00e1nica.  el comportamiento en fluencia se ha explicado mediante el concepto de tensi\u00f3n umbral, relacion\u00e1ndose esta magnitud con la microstructura de los
