Antonia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Para analizar las repercusiones que el tratamiento con neurol\u00e9pticos tiene sobre la estructura del sistema nervioso, hemos realizado un estudio ultraestructural sobre las modificaciones que se evidencian en el n\u00facleo arcuato del hipot\u00e1lamo de ratas tras el tratamiento con clorpromacina.  los animales experimentales y controles fueron inyectados durante cuarenta d\u00edas y se sacrificaron al t\u00e9rmino del tratamiento o veinte d\u00edas despu\u00e9s. asimismo efectuamos un contaje del n\u00famero de sinapsis axosom\u00e1ticas que conectan con los somas de las neuronas arcuatas en ratas tratadas y controles.  nuestras observaciones indican que, en los animales sacrificados al finalizar el tratamiento, no hay signos directos ni indirectos de lesi\u00f3n. Tampoco se evidencian modificaciones ultraestructurales, si exceptuamos la abundancia de lisosomas en el citoplasma neuronal. Asimismo hemos apreciado signos de reacci\u00f3n astrocitaria en forma de un mayor desarrollo y presencia de laminillas gliales alrededor de los somas y prolongaciones neuronales, que llegan a aislar y desconectar parcialmente estas c\u00e9lulas.  al tiempo, el tratamiento con clorpromacina disminuye, de manera estad\u00edsticamente significativa, el n\u00famero de sinapsis axosom\u00e1ticas que se establecen sobre las neuronas arcuatas.  por el momento no podemos discernir si el mayor desarrollo de las prolongaciones gliales se\u00f1alado anteriormente est\u00e1 entre las causas de la menor inervaci\u00f3n o si es una de sus consecuencias. Adem\u00e1s, cuando los animales tratados fueron sacrificados a los veinte d\u00edas de finalizadas las inyecciones de clorpromacina el n\u00famero de sinapsis axosom\u00e1ticas se recupera, aunque no llega a alcanzar los valores que observamos en las ratas de los grupos control.
