La identificaci\u00f3n de anomal\u00edas gen\u00e9ticas es importante en la lma, algunas de ellas se asocian de manera caracter\u00edstica a determinados rasgos cl\u00ednico-citol\u00f3gicos. La combinaci\u00f3n de las t\u00e9cnicas de citogen\u00e9tica, biolog\u00eda molecular e hibridaci\u00f3n in situ fluorescente es fundamental, no solo a nivel diagn\u00f3stico sino tambi\u00e9n para el conocimiento de los mecanismos de leucemog\u00e9nesis.  en la presente tesis, se aplican diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de estudio genomico y de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica para la caracterizaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica de la lma.  los resultados obtenidos muestran como la hibridaci\u00f3n in situ fluorescente (fish) permite detectar alteraciones gen\u00e9ticas, no observadas previamente por citogen\u00e9tica. As\u00ed mismo, la hibridaci\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica comparada (cgh) aporta valuable informaci\u00f3n complementaria, ayudando a identificar alteraciones cromos\u00f3micas m\u00e1s complejas, sobretodo en los pacientes con cariotipo patol\u00f3gico. a pesar de que se ha observado una baja frecuencia de alteraciones mediante cgh e hibridaci\u00f3n in situ multicolor (m-fish), es posible que aparentes cariotipos normales sean portadores de anomal\u00edas sutiles, como translocaciones subtelom\u00e9ricas, o lesiones moleculares, como la duplicaci\u00f3n parcial en t\u00e1ndem del gen mll.  mediante la t\u00e9cnica de cadn array se ha identificado la desregulaci\u00f3n de varios genes apopt\u00f3ticosasociados a la lma, y con la qrt-pcr, se han detectado asociaciones
