Las t\u00e9cnicas utilizadas han sido espectroscopia uv-vis, espectroscopia de rmn y cromatograf\u00eda de gases con detecci\u00f3n de masas.  el estudio se ha llevado a cabo utilizando \u00e1cido percl\u00f3rico entre 1,74 m y 11,64 m. Cada reacci\u00f3n fue seguida hasta el 90% de agotamiento. Se ha estudiado el efecto de la composici\u00f3n del disolvente (acetonitrilo, etanol, 2-propanol o 1,4-dioxano)-agua(v\/v), y de la concentraci\u00f3n del sustrato.  se compara el comportamiento de acemetacina con el de otros antiinflamatorios similares tales como indometacino, 1-benzoil-5-metoxiindol y 1-benzoil-3-metilindol. a partir de la variaci\u00f3n del espectro inicial (tiempo cero) con la concentraci\u00f3n de \u00e1cido, se obtiene el espectrograma correspondiente a la protonaci\u00f3n de cada compuesto, lo que permite determinar las constantes \u00e1cido-base, como paso previo al an\u00e1lisis cin\u00e9tico. Se observan fuertes efectos del medio que son corregidos por diferentes m\u00e9todos, siendo el m\u00e1s preciso el de an\u00e1lisis vectorial.  la reacci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3lisis se produce en alta acidez por lo que se hace necesario la utilizaci\u00f3n de funciones de acidez. La funci\u00f3n de acidez de exceso de cox y yates, x, es la que mejor describe el comportamiento experimental, tanto desde el punto de vista termodin\u00e1mico como cin\u00e9tico.  se ha comprobaron que la constante de velocidad experimental, kobs, var\u00eda con la acidez del medio, distingui\u00e9ndose dos tramos bien diferenciados:  a,- entre 1,73 y 8,06 m de \u00e1cido percl\u00f3rico, la constante de velocidad aumenta muy lentamente, la reacci\u00f3n sigue un mecanismo a-2, siendo la etapa determinante el ataque del agua a la acemetacina protonada en equilibrio.  b,- entre 8,87 y
