Empleamos los siguientes instrumentos de evaluaci\u00f3n: un cuestionario sociodemogr\u00e1fico y laboral, un cuestionario de valoraci\u00f3n de las fuentes de estr\u00e9s, el inventario de burnout de maslach (1986), un cuestionario de valoraci\u00f3n del desempe\u00f1o profesional y la escla de actitudes disfuncionales de beck (1978).  los resultados constatan que el 36,9% de la muestra sufren niveles preocupantes de burnout (niveles de \u00abextremo y bastante\u00bb burnout), lo que indica que la situaci\u00f3n de algunos orientadores puede ser alarmante. Cuando analizamos las relaciones entre el bournout y las actitudes disfuncionales encontramos relaciones significativas, concluyendo que el necesario reivindicar la estrecha relaci\u00f3n entre las actitudes disfuncionales y el sindrome de burnout. nuestros resultados apoyan los enfoques cognitivos del estr\u00e9s, que acent\u00faan la importancia de las creencias y actitudes personales, y que establecen que gran parte del estr\u00e9s procede de la forma en que los individuos piensan y valoran las situaciones.  defendemos que las terapias de corte cognitivo puden aportar \u00fatiles
