{"id":24661,"date":"2003-11-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2003-11-07T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/sin-categoria\/trophic-interactions-between-micro-and-mesozooplankton\/"},"modified":"2003-11-07T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2003-11-07T00:00:00","slug":"trophic-interactions-between-micro-and-mesozooplankton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/politecnica-de-catalunya\/trophic-interactions-between-micro-and-mesozooplankton\/","title":{"rendered":"Trophic interactions between micro and mesozooplankton"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tesis doctoral de <strong> Elisabetta Broglio <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Durante l\u00e1s dos \u00faltimas decadas, la visi\u00f3n del funcionamiento de los sistemas planct\u00f3nicos marinos y de las redes tr\u00f3ficas (clasica y microbiana) que le caracterizan se ha ido expandiendo considerablemente tras el reconocimiento del papel de los microorganismos en las redes tr\u00f3ficas marinas.  en este sentido, la interacci\u00f3n tr\u00f3fica entre zooplancton y ciliados podr\u00eda representar el enlace entre ambos tipos de red tr\u00f3fica, permitiendo transferir una fracci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n \u00abreciclada\u00bb en el microbial loop hacia los niveles tr\u00f3ficos m\u00e1s altos (peces). Sin embargo, a pesar del crecimiento inter\u00e9s en este campo, y de la abundancia de evidencias al respecto que han ido apareciendo en los \u00faltimos diez a\u00f1os, se desconoc\u00edan la importancia o magnitud real de este enlace entre ambos tipos de red tr\u00f3fica, su variabilidad, as\u00ed como de los mecanismos involucrados en el control de dicha interacci\u00f3n.  el objetivo principal de esta tesis ha sido estudiar la importancia de los ciliados en la dieta del zooplancton bajo distintas condiciones ambientales y determinar la influencia de algunos de los factores implicados en esta relaci\u00f3n trof\u00edca. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo, se han utilziado dos aproximaciones complementarias: estudios de campo y de laboratorio. Los estudios campo (cap\u00edtulo i y ii), cuyo objetivo era determinar la importancia de la dieta heterotr\u00f3fica para el mesozooplancton en comunidades naturales, se han trabajado a nivel de poblaci\u00f3n y comunidad y han servido de marco de referencia para la aproximaci\u00f3n experimental. Sin embargo, con los experimentos de laboratorio (cap\u00edtulos iii y iv), llevados a cabo a nivel de individuo, se ha obtenido informaci\u00f3n sobre dos de los diferentes procesos y factores (la calidad nutritiva de la presa y su comportamiento natatorio) que controlan las interacciones tr\u00f3ficas entre mesozzoplancton ymicrozooplancton.  los resultados obtenidos indican que los ciliado
