Se ampl\u00edan las variantes estructurales para obtener compuestos m\u00e1s potentes y sobre todo m\u00e1s selectivos y se eval\u00faan las actividades citot\u00f3xica-antineopl\u00e1sica, antiparasitaria, antif\u00fangica, antiadren\u00e9rgica y antihistaminica.  bas\u00e1ndose en el procedimiento de s\u00edntesis de nokihara, ligeramente modificado, se han obtenido doce benzalftalidas, que han servido de intermedios para sintetizar un centenar de estilbenamidas, imidazoisoindoles, pirimidoisoindoles y ftalazinonas, cuyas diferencias estructurales principales se localizan en el sistema benc\u00edlico y que han sido completamente caracterizadas mediante sus propiedades f\u00edsicas y espectrosc\u00f3picas: ir, masas, rmn 1h y rmn 13c, con apoyo en las t\u00e9cnicas bidimensionales en algunos casos.  todos los compuestos sintetizados han sido evaluados mediante los bioensayos oportunos relacionados con las actividades arriba mencionadas y, se ha tratado de establecer en algunos casos sus mecanismos de acci\u00f3n.  en todas las series investigadas se ha conseguido superar los resultados de bioactividad del trabajo anterior. Adem\u00e1s se han incorporado nuevas evaluaciones mediante otros bioensayos y, de los resultados alcanzados, se han podido seleccionar algunas nuevas mol\u00e9culas con potencias \u00abin vitro\u00bb superiores a las de los f\u00e1rmacos en uso, que se constituyen en nuevos l\u00edderes para el desarrollo de f\u00e1rmacos mejores.
