Para esclarecer el papel que la condensaci\u00f3n juega en este balance, se ha desarrollado un algoritmo num\u00e9rico basado en el m\u00e9todo de los elementos finitos mixtos, discretizando las ecuaciones acopladas de philip y de vries, modificadas para incluir el arrastre de vapor debido a los altos gradientes t\u00e9rmicos producidos durante el d\u00eda. Para las condiciones de contorno se ha utilizado el m\u00e9todo aerodin\u00e1mico, calculando los flujos de masa y energ\u00eda en la interfase con la atm\u00f3sfera a partir del par\u00e1metro de estabilidad l de monin-obukhov. por primera vez se han medido par\u00e1metros h\u00eddricos y t\u00e9rmicos del lapilli de lanzarote y el suelo arcilloso, necesarios para el c\u00e1lculo de los flujos de humedad y calor en el interior de estos medios. Se ha demostrado que el algoritmo es conservativo, estable y que converge a la soluci\u00f3n exacta.  los resultados de las simulaciones coinciden con las experiencias realizadas por el grupo de edafolog\u00eda y geolog\u00eda, en las proximidades de la vega de mozaga, en isla de lanzarote, demostrando que diez cent\u00edmetros de mulch son m\u00e1s eficaces que cinco cent\u00edmetros respecto a la conservaci\u00f3n de agua en el suelo, y que la grava fina es m\u00e1s eficaz que la media en el aporte y conservaci\u00f3n de humedad en el suelo, debido a la condensaci\u00f3n de vapor
