Virginia Iniesta Orozco <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En el presente trabajo se ha pretendido realizar un estudio en profundidad de la funci\u00f3n de la enzima arginasa en el modelo experimental murino en la infecci\u00f3n con leishmaniosis para ello se han llevado a cabo una serie de estudios in vitro en macr\u00f3fagos diferencaidos de m\u00e9dula \u00f3sea procedentes de ratones sensibles y resistentes al par\u00e1sito.  la conclusi\u00f3n fundamental de nuestros ensayso in vitro es que la activaci\u00f3n de la enzima arginasa en el macr\u00f3fago por citoquinas th2 tiene como consecuencia la generaci\u00f3n de un estado de permisidad a la infecci\u00f3n en dicha c\u00e9lula, debido a que se originan poliaminas esenciales que el par\u00e1sito utiliza para proliferar.  el estudio del papel que la arginasa desempe\u00f1a en la infecci\u00f3n por leishmania se complet\u00f3 con una serie de ensayos in vivo llevados a cabo mediante el an\u00e1lisis comparativo en ambas cepas murivas (sensibles y resistentes). la conclusi\u00f3n es que la arginasa 3 desempe\u00f1a una funci\u00f3n clave en el desarrollo de la infecci\u00f3n por leishmania en los animales, pudiendo considerarse su
