Para ello se procede a la gangliectomia mediante t\u00e9cnica quir\u00fargica experimental, comparando los resultados entre animales controles y experimentales (gangliectomizados unilateralmente y bilateralmente) mediante estudio a microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica; identificando y contando los distintos tipos de cuerpos sin\u00e1pticos en todos los animales sacrificados, tanto en escotofase como en fotofase.  de los resultados obtenidos se deduce que los sr son los elementos m\u00e1s sensibles a la denervaci\u00f3n simp\u00e1tica parcial o total de la gl\u00e1ndula pineal. produci\u00e9ndose una disminuci\u00f3n de su n\u00famero en la denervaci\u00f3n unilateral y siendo m\u00e1s acusada en la bilateral, caus\u00e1ndose efectos menos marcados sobre los ss y los isb. En cuanto a la ritmicidad de los periodos escotofase\/fotofase, se observa una inversi\u00f3n del comportamiento en los animales gangliectomizados bilateralmente frente a los controles o los gangliectomizados unilateralmente, de forma que as\u00ed como existe un claro aumento de los sr durante la noche en los controles y de forma menos marcada en los gangliectomizados unilateralmente. en
