Los compuestos obtenidos, de composicion nir2(l-l), se estabilizan por la presencia de ligandos quelatantes de tipo difosfina. Dentro de este apartado dedicado a la quimica organometalica del niquel se ha procedido asimismo a la sintesis y caracterizacion de diversos acilos de ni(ii) estabilizados por el ligando tris(pirazolil)borato (tp). Estos compuestos, de composicion tpni(cor) (pme3), se desproporcionan con facilidad en disolucion con formacion de ni(tp)2 y ni(pme3)4 entre otros productos.  b) en lo que respecta a la quimica del iridio se han sintetizado y caracterizado compuestos de formacion tp*ir(olefina)2(tp*=tris (3,5-dimetilpirazolil)borato) donde la olefina puede ser etileno o diversos dienos. De especial interes resulta el estudio de la dimerizacion del propeno en la esfera de coordinacion del atomo de ir que induce a la formacion de diversos hidruroalilos de ir(iii). Aunque la activacion termica de los dienos no tiene lugar en los compuestos mencionados de ir(i), la activacion fotoquimica de los mismos ocurre con facilidad y da lugar a la formacion de especies
