Se han utilizado, como reactivos de partida, nitratos o alc\u00f3xidos met\u00e1licos; en ambos casos, aunque no siempre, se han modificado mediante el ligando 2-metoxietanol. Los productos obtenidos se han caracterizado mediante drx; todos ellos, tanto las muestras estequiom\u00e9tricas como las disoluciones s\u00f3lidas, resultaron corresponder a los tipos estructurales estudiados. La absorci\u00f3n f\u00edsica de nitr\u00f3geno a 77 k permiti\u00f3 realizar el estudio textural obteni\u00e9ndose valores de superficie espec\u00edfica pr\u00f3ximos a 50 m2g-1 para las muestras batio3 y laalo3, y a 300 m2g-1 para las espinelas de n\u00edquel y aluminio. Todas las muestras resultaron ser mesoporosas. Asimismo, las perovsquitas con la y fe presentaron una notable actividad para la combusti\u00f3n catal\u00edtica de metano. Mediante ftir utilizando co como sonda molecular se estudi\u00f3 la acidez de superficie de las espinelas, obteni\u00e9ndose bandas asignadas a los aductos al3+  co para las muestras ni1-xal2+(2\/3)xo4 (x=0; 0,43 y 0,69); se observ\u00f3 que la presencia de nio rebaja la acidez de lewis. Para la muestra mgga2o4 se obtuvo una banda centrada a 2192 cm-1 asignada a los aductos ga3+ co.
