Un total de 160 ests (incluidos 82 fragmentos correspondientes a genes sobreexpresados en hojas infectadas) fueron aislados tras el estrutinio (mediante ddrt-pcr) de un 40% de la poblaci\u00f3n de arnm expresada en hojas infectadas de la variedad \u00ablech\u00edn de sevilla\u00bb, resistente a la infecci\u00f3n f\u00fangica. La expresi\u00f3n diferencial de los genes fue confirmada mediante northern inverso. Los fragmentos positivos fueron secuenciados y en algunos casos la secuencia obtenida mostr\u00f3 una alta similitud con la secuencia de genes de plantas diferencialmente expresados en otras interacciones planta-pat\u00f3geno. Los genes aislados fueron estudiados mediante southern-blot para determinar si pertenec\u00edan al genoma del hongo o de la planta. Un estudio de la expresi\u00f3n de estos genes a lo largo del tiempo de infecci\u00f3n con el pat\u00f3geno f\u00fangico fue llevado a cabo mediante qrt-pcr. Los resultados sugieren una regulaci\u00f3n clara al alza de algunos de los genes de la planta y del hongo implicados  en esta interacci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, algunos de los genes estudiados mostraron un patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n basal diferente en las variedades tolerantes con respecto a las variedades susceptibles de los cultivares de olivo. tambi\u00e9n se determin\u00f3 los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de estos genes tras el tratamiento de hojas de olivo con los elicitores salicilato d esodio, benzotiadiazol, jasmonato de metilo, una mezcla de salicilato de sodio y jasmonato de metilo, etef\u00f3n y cloruro de cobre. Los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de cuatro genes, elegidos seg\u00fan su patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n, fueron estudiados tras el tratamiento de hojas de olivo con algunos compuestos comerciales fungicidas e inductores de la respuesta de defensa en plantas.
