Este modelo permite desarrollar metodos de diagnosis por medio de sondas electrostaticas de langmuir en estos plasmas. Como resultado del modelo, se ha obtenido la dependencia con los parametros que caracterizan al plasma de las siguientes magnitudes:  distribucion espacial de potencial, campo electrico y densidades de carga en la vaina, espesor de la vaina y potencial flotante. Para comprobar la validez del modelo, se ha implementado un nuevo dispositivo experimental de medida de la funcion de distribucion de energia electronica en plasmas, por medio de una sonda electrostatica. Hemos utilizado este dispositivo para realizar medidas en una descarga de una mezcla de argon y iodo, durante un proceso transitorio de disminucion de la concentracion de iodo en la descarga. Se han comparado los valores experimentales con los teoricos obteniendo un buen acuerdo entre ambos, aportando asi un nuevo metodo de diagnosis basado en la medida experimental del potencial
