Los donantes m\u00e1s fieles han sido mostrados como la mejor fuente de donaci\u00f3n, pero resulta clave conocer sus caracter\u00edsticas y los factores que influyen en el desarrollo de su compromiso.  objetivos  a,- general: conocer los factores que influyen en la fidelizaci\u00f3n de la donaci\u00f3n de sangre.  b,- espec\u00edficos:  1,- conocer la percepci\u00f3n de los donantes comprometidos respecto a s\u00ed mismos y a la donaci\u00f3n.  2,- conocer los factores que m\u00e1s influyen en el desarrollo de su compromiso.  3,- identificar las diferencias de estos donantes con otros menos activos.  4,- conocer la influencia en este proceso de las pr\u00e1cticas usadas para la promoci\u00f3n y retenci\u00f3n.  metodolog\u00eda  cualitativa.  t\u00e9cnicas  an\u00e1lisis del discurso. Entrevistas individuales y grupales y observaci\u00f3n participante en una colecta. Periodo de estudio: de 1990 a 2001 (12 a\u00f1os). dise\u00f1o: 5 grupos de donantes, 3 entrevistas en profundidad, y un grupo de expertos. Variables:  a,- lugar de residencia.  b,- n\u00famero de donaciones: de 24 a 30 (alto compromiso) y de 12 a 15 (compromiso medio).  c,- variables discursivas: autoconcepto, motivaci\u00f3n, actitudes, creencias, identidad de rol, modelos, satisfacci\u00f3n, caracter\u00edsticas de personalidad e influencia de la comunicaci\u00f3n del centro de donaci\u00f3n  resultados  1,- la mayor\u00eda de los grandes donantes conciben la donaci\u00f3n de sangre como una actividad solidaria m\u00e1s, a la que se orientan por haber tenido acceso a ella en alg\u00fan momento y considerarla m\u00e1s privada, f\u00e1cil y r\u00e1pida de lograr que otras.
