De la inversi\u00f3n de los primeros se obtienen los desarrollos de cornish-fisher, los cuales sirven para aproximar el cuantil de la distribuci\u00f3n del estad\u00edstico.  el objeto de la tesis es la inversi\u00f3n de los segundos bajo ciertas hip\u00f3tesis \u00abh\u00bb para la funci\u00f3n generatriz de momentos y los cumulantes de la distribuci\u00f3n del estad\u00edstico en consideraci\u00f3n. La t\u00e9cnica de inversi\u00f3n empleada se aplica en la inversi\u00f3n de las distintas aproximaciones saddlepoint que se conocen. cada inversi\u00f3n conduce a una aproximaci\u00f3n del cuantil de la distribuci\u00f3n del estad\u00edstico basada en la funci\u00f3n generatriz de cumulantes de \u00e9ste. las nuevas aproximaciones se denominan \u00abaproximaciones saddlepoint del cuantil\u00bb.  en la memoria se analiza el orden del error de estas aproximaciones mostrando que el procedimiento de inversi\u00f3n ha dado lugar a aproximaciones de segundo orden. Se estudia la relaci\u00f3n existente entre ellas y sus hom\u00f3logos los desarrollos de cornish-fisher de segundo orden. Finalmente, se muestran ejemplos para varias situaciones en el marco de la hip\u00f3tesis \u00abh\u00bb &#8212;media, mediana y varianza muestral y el estimador de daniels del par\u00e1metro en un proceso ar(1)&#8212; que permiten comparar num\u00e9ricamente las nuevas aproximaciones con las cl\u00e1sicas, normal y desarrollo de cornish-fisher.  la memoria termina presentando varios problemas
