Pese a los a\u00f1os de su utilizaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica, la variabilidad en las dosis hpn\u00f3ticas sigue todav\u00eda estando sin explicar. Con la introducci\u00f3n en el mercado de nuevas preparados comerciales esta variabilidad parece haber aumentado y se ha sugerido que el tipo de formulaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda ser un nuevo factor que ocntribuyese en la variabilidad de los par\u00e1metros cin\u00e9ticos y din\u00e1micos. Otra fuente de variabilidad podr\u00eda estar asociada a la presencia de alguna patolog\u00eda que altere los mecanismos farmacocin\u00e9ticos y farmacodin\u00e1micos.  por tanto, se ha estudiado la posible influencia de 5 formulaciones de propofol as\u00ed como de la diabetes mellitus experimental en las caracter\u00edsticas cin\u00e9ticas y din\u00e1micas de este f\u00e1rmaco.  los resultados del presente trabajo han puesto de manifiesto que las formulaciones no se pueden considerar homog\u00e9neas en cuanto a la variabilidad que aportan en la cin\u00e9tica y la dinamia de propofol.  las ratas diab\u00e9ticas no se comportan de forma similar a las controles ya que han necesitado una menor dosis para un mismo efecto, lo que se ha explicado fundamentalmente por los cambios en los
