Mediante el empleo de una diversidad de t\u00e9cnicas moleculares, fisiol\u00f3gicas y microbiol\u00f3gicas se ha conclu\u00eddo que:  1,- bradyrhizobium japonicum contiene los genes modabc, que codifican un sistema de transporte, de alta afinidad, de molibdeno, formado por las prote\u00ednas moda, modb y modc.  2,- los genes mod son esenciales para el crecimiento de bradyrhizobium japonicum en medios deficientes de molibdeno.  3,- el molibdeno reprime la expresi\u00f3n de los genes modabc de bradyrhizobium japonicum.  4,- el molibdeno, o un compuesto derivado, regula, a nivel transcripcional, la expresi\u00f3n de los genes napedabc, que codifican la enzima nitrato reductasa peripl\u00e1smica, responsable de la reducci\u00f3n anaer\u00f3bica del nitrato.  5,- la mutaci\u00f3n en los genes mod no afecta la capacidad infectiva de bradyrhizobium japonicum en plantas de glycine max, pero disminuye la eficiencia de la fijaci\u00f3n simbi\u00f3tica de n2.  6,- bradyrhizobium japonicum posee, al menos, tres sistemas de transporte de mo.
